Who is going to represent the Western Conference in the NBA finals this year? It looks like it is going to be a toss-up between two powerful teams. The Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs. Is it going to be the super team with four starting all-stars or the team led behind great coach Gregg Popovich.

Leading scorer, Kevin Durant, has been out with a knee injury. Even though he has been injured the Warriors are still pulling out wins with their two star guards, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. The Warriors beat the Spurs by 12 in their last match up. The Warriors still have the number one seed but San Antonio isn’t very far behind.

Their team is being led by the all-star forward, Kawhi Leonard. Leonard was also voted defensive player of year in the 2014-2015 season. The year after he was voted finals MVP as he carried his team through the playoffs. The Spurs have a deep roster with two veteran big men, Pau Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge. The Houston Rockets are also making a push for the finals with MVP candidate, James Harden, leading the way. Harden is putting up MVP numbers and is leading his team to enough wins to get them to the third seed.

The Warriors won the finals without, former MVP, Kevin Durant two years ago. The chance of them winning again with, former MVP, Kevin Durant is much greater. The Spurs also have a great chance of winning again because of the great coach Popovich and the all-stars they have on their team.
